ROCK, LENE. VerfasserIn aut, As German as Kafka Identity and Singularity in German Literature around 1900 and 2000, [Erscheinungsort nicht ermittelbar] LEUVEN UNIVERSITY PRESS 2019, 1 Online-Ressource., Text txt rdacontent, Computermedien c rdamedia, Online-Ressource cr rdacarrier, Description based on print version record, Open Access Unrestricted online access star, Countless literary endeavours by ?new Germans? have come into the spotlight of academic research since the turn of the 21st century. Yet ?minority writing? and its distinctive renegotiation of traditional concepts of cultural identity are far from a recent phenomenon in German literature. More than a hundred years ago, German-Jewish writers put a clear stamp on German modernism and were intensely engaged in various cultural and political discourses on Jewish identity. This book is the first to unfold literary parallels between these two riveting periods in German cultural history. Drawing on the philosophical oeuvre of Jean-Luc Nancy, a comparative reading of texts by, amongst others, Beer-Hofmann, Kermani, Özdamar, Roth, Schnitzler, and Zaimoglu examines similar literary approaches to the thorny issue of cultural identity in either period, while developing an overarching perspective on the ?politics of literature?., Group identity in literature ; fast ; (OCoLC)fst00948452, Group identity ; fast ; (OCoLC)fst00948442, German literature ; fast ; (OCoLC)fst00941797, Identite collective dans la litterature, Identite collective ; Allemagne, Litterature allemande ; 21e siecle ; Histoire et critique, Litterature allemande ; 20e siecle ; Histoire et critique, Group identity in literature, Group identity ; Germany, German literature ; 21st century ; History and criticism, German literature ; 20th century ; History and criticism, Germany ; fast ; (OCoLC)fst01210272, s (DE-588)4113292-0 (DE-627)105830437 (DE-576)209475285 Deutsch gnd, s (DE-588)7610482-5 (DE-627)564748978 (DE-576)279655983 Migrantenliteratur gnd, s (DE-588)4170000-4 (DE-627)105405671 (DE-576)20992683X Minderheitenliteratur gnd, (DE-627), p (DE-588)118603140 (DE-627)079394698 (DE-576)209088931 Roth, Joseph 1894-1939 gnd, p (DE-588)118609807 (DE-627)13346265X (DE-576)162952341 Schnitzler, Arthur 1862-1931 gnd, p (DE-588)12053715X (DE-627)080734944 (DE-576)173986455 Zaimoglu, Feridun 1964- gnd, p (DE-588)118654756 (DE-627)136352685 (DE-576)160222508 Beer-Hofmann, Richard 1866-1945 gnd, u (DE-588)1060566052 (DE-627)800324935 (DE-576)416722520 Nancy, Jean-Luc 1940-2021 Déconstruction du christianisme gnd, p (DE-588)121162680 (DE-627)081126514 (DE-576)315865873 Kermani, Navid 1967- gnd, p (DE-588)119406586 (DE-627)08022010X (DE-576)167063049 Özdamar, Emine Sevgi 1946- gnd, https://muse.jhu.edu/book/72920/ X:MUSE Verlag kostenfrei, https://muse.jhu.edu/book/73555/ X:MUSE Verlag kostenfrei, https://muse.jhu.edu/book/72920/ LFER, LFER 2020-04-07T00:00:00Z, https://muse.jhu.edu/book/72920/ Online-Zugriff DE-15, DE-15 2020-03-09T11:42:32Z |
